The title of the book is Yard War. The author is Taylor Kitchings. The main characters are Trip, Dee, Willie Jane, and their family, and the setting is Jackson, Mississippi in 1964. The main conflict is that whenever Dee plays football with Trip and his friends, people do mean things to Trip's family. The theme of this book is don't judge a person by the color of his skin. My favorite part of the book was when Trip and Dee did a trick play and won the football game. My least favorite part of the book was when Trip's dad and a man named Mr. Bethune went to jail. I would recommend this book to others. I give the book 4 stars.
ReplyDeleteThe title of my book was "The Hero Next Door" the author is Sharon Robinson The character is a little boy and they live in brooklyn.The theme to the story I feel like is The future is not clear.My favorite part was the part where he finally met jackie robinson. I didn't really have a least favorite part. I would definitely recommend this book to others.

chasing kings killer by james L swanson. the characters in this story are mlk malcolm X james earl ray. john f kennedy. 1916- 1968. during the civil rights movement. many black people don't have as many rights as the white. theme is to treat one another equally. when mlk got shot through the a bathroom window. when james escaped prison. YES I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO OTHERS.
ReplyDeleteChasing King's Killer by James L. Swanson. The Characters are Dr.Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, John F. Kennedy, James Earl/ Eric S. Galt. The story took place from January 15, 1929- April 9, 1968 and it took place during the Civil Rights Movement. The Assassination of Martin and Racism. The problem was resolved by the FBI and Presidents. The theme is to treat people the way you want to be treated. My favorite part was when James Earl Ray got arrested. My least favorite part was when MLK died. I would recommend this to others.

This book takes place in Brooklyn where blacks and whites are separated the main characters are Steven,Jackie,Mrs.Robinson and mom and dad.
The main conflict is that Stephan met his hero but then his father died and is sad now.
Theme is that he met his hero and is now friends with him.
